Some people say, “I feel very distracted when sitting down in a proper session of practice, but when I practice while walking around, I feel like my mind is very pure and focussed. Does that mean that it is better for me to practice while walking around?”
Of course not! When you are walking around, your mind is already distracted, only that you do not recognize it. You think that your mind is very pure but the truth is that it is terribly distracted.
To recognize our state of distraction is a sign that we are becoming mindful. Therefore, recognizing our state of distraction in itself shows that our mind is becoming purer or less distracted.
Definitely, it is very important to practice in proper sessions.
